Love Creative Secondary Visit




I visited LOVE a while ago with my original portfolio. Since then my portfolio has changed quite a lot so I thought I would contact them again. They invited me to come in last week. I also talked to a different person this time to get some different opinions. Overall he liked my work especially the YCN winning stuff but there was also some good advice and ideas given to me about how to further some of my work for portfolio reasons. For example using some of my logo designs in different applications. He also told me to take any work out that is just OK. and just leave in the best work. Also to show the animations actually moving is good for the portfolio. I had planned to do this but had a problem with the laptop they were on.
It was a really worthwhile meeting which I got a lot from and have been invited back in again aswell as asked to send some work in via e-mail. My name is also there for upcoming D&AD Workshops now that LOVE are creating and I am also aware of the CLASS project that they are putting in place for placements and work.
Pravda Advertising Placement







Last week I decided to e-mail Pravda advertising and ask if I could go in and show them my work. I went in to see them on the Wednesday. We spoke about my work and I received some good advice aswell as praise of my work. Their input was mainly on the advertising and ideas based side of my work and I was told to see their head of Art direction for better advice in this area.
They liked the overall standard of my work and unexpectedly, they asked if I could work next week. I was glad to accept the offer. As advertising people usually work in teams of a Copywriter and an Art Director, I was told I will probably put into a team. However I was then asked if I ever work with anyone usually. I have worked on a number of projects with James Clancy so I told them this. They asked if he could be trusted and if he's good as they wouldn't want anyone not upto the task. I explained we work together because we are like minded and work around the same sort of level. I was then told that he could come in too and work as a creative team. I am looking forward to this as the big offices are right in the city centre and look really good to work in with a relaxed atmosphere.

AD Promotions Logo


This is a logo design idea for AD promotions. Abstract versions of the letters represent arrows that reflect the forward and upward direction of the promotions company. The highlighted green arrow also represents the 'Play' symbol as the promotions are for music and events. The logo is also shown in black and white.
